THE PITCH GARD's

Features and Benefits

The Pitch Gard designed by Pitch Gard Incorporated has many features and benefits. The versatility of this product makes it valuable to other products currently on the market today. The following are a few products and features that can be added to or used with The Pitch Gard.

The Pitching Trainer is an attached strike zone that can be raised or lowered to teach pitchers how to throw to different locations. The Pitching Trainer can be used without a catcher because the back netting will kill each pitch thrown from the pitcher and store them at the bottom of the front netting. The Pitching Trainer can be left on when The Pitch Gard is used as a protective screen or it can be removed.

The Hitting Tee used today by many coaches and players to warm up or work on their hand and eye coordination is another product that can be used with The Pitch Gard. The athlete would simply unlock the baseball wings to make a wider netting area. The athlete would then stand the hitting tee about 5 to 6 feet in front of The Pitch Gard and hit balls into the netting.

Soft Toss Net:
The Pitch Gard can be used as a soft toss device when one does not have a hitting tee. The setup is the same as hitting off of a tee except you have the aid of another athlete. The hitting athlete should stand facing his soft toss partner and hit balls into the netting of The Pitch Gard.

Backstop / Infielder Protector:
The Pitch Gard can be easily used as a backstop when extended into the Baseball Phase. The screen can be stood up behind the catcher and coach to stop errant thrown balls during infield practice. The screen can be also used as an infielder protector when infield practice is done in concurrence with batting practice. The screen can be stood in front of the first and third basemen as they field ground balls during live batting practice.
